
Conversations in Porcelain and Paint - Art Exhibition at Found
Found Gallery’s latest exhibition is titled 'Conversations in Porcelain and Paint' with ceramicist Corisande Albert and artist Elizabeth Haines. They explore abstract interpretations of coast in their respective mediums with the use of fluid movement, texture and overlapping colour. In the lower gallery photographer Paul Edgley is showing black and white photography of trees. Artists Maggy Roberts and Marion Cheung are also exhibiting.

Brecon Cathedral Summer Concert Series 2025

Gwent Chamber Orchestra: 50th Anniversary Concert
Celebrating 50 years since the formation of Gwent Chamber Orchestra. The pianist Huw Watkins will be performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 19 in F Major, k459. They will also be performing two pieces played at the very first performance - Elgar’s Serenade for Strings and Schubert’s Symphony No 5 in B flat Major.

“Look, Look, Look...” M E Eldridge Exhibition at Found
“Look, look, look at the detail” was the mantra of this London artist and teacher Miss Eldridge. Exhibiting in London galleries before the second world war, she then turned to illustrating children’s books. In the 50’s she created her Masterwork The Dance of Life over 100 feet in length! In the 60s through to her death in 1991, she turned herself to the fine detail of botanical and ornithological paintings. Works to be exhibited at Found Gallery, Brecon.

Sir John Lloyd Lecture: Gentry Families and their Poets in Late-Medieval Brecon
The fourteenth to sixteenth centuries were the high point of Welsh praise poetry to the families of local gentry, the uchelwyr. This lecture by Professor Helen Fulton traces some of the history of the lordship of Brecon and its neighbours through the poetry composed to its networks of gentry families, including the Herberts, Games, and Vaughans.
