There will be Santa’s Grotto, a variety of stalls featuring handcrafted gifts, seasonal decorations, and delicious treats, all set within the stunning medieval architecture of the cathedral. Visitors can explore the fair while also listening (and joining in!) to musical performances, children's activities, and opportunities to enjoy warm refreshments, making it an ideal event for everyone.

The Christmassy take on our bi-annual market of vintage and pre-loved treasures! and refreshment available from the Tiny Booth cafe. Lots of stalls - something for everyone, men’s and women’s and children’s clothes, homewares, tools and crafts - find some special pre-loved outfits, and pressies for loved ones.

The Christmas Orchestra is back! Get ready to discover the magic of the festive season with a unique concert experience. On 27th November the tour makes a special stop at Brecon Cathedral, bringing the festive spirit right to your doorstep. The concert is performed live by a 16 piece chamber orchestra supported with full sound production and lighting show.

Join Borders Ensemble (a flexible chamber group for clarinet, violin, cello and piano) as they explore musical myth, fable and magic with their programme of music inspired by childhood and fairytales. The concert will include pieces by Ravel, Janacek, Rebecca Clarke and Frank Bridge alongside some more contemporary works.

A Night To Remember: Motown Show takes you back in time to 1960’s Detroit. Be prepared for a high energy show, packed with the greatest Motown hits of all time. Starring The Voice UK finalist, Bizzi Dixon, and backed by the soulful vocal dynamics of The Motown Divas, this musical celebration is sure to have you singing along and dancing in the aisles and the streets.

MWR&BC Presents the return of The TERRAPLANES BLUES BAND to The Muse in Brecon. The Terraplanes, hailing from Bristol, UK are a hard hitting, soulful Rhythm & Blues Band. Andy Fairweather Low came to prominence as the lead singer in Amen Corner. The 60s saw them clock up hit after pop hit. Songs such as 'Bend Me Shape Me', 'Hello Suzy', '( If Paradise is ) Half As Nice' are internationally remembered to this day. A remarkable front man, a remarkable band. Following them into 2025 Andy’s The Invisble Bluesman Album entered the Official UK charts at Number 1 and the Spring tour broke all records selling 99% across the whole tour.

Brecon Town Concert Band present music from Academy winning films including—Star Wars; Lord of The Rings; Schindler’s List; Fiddler on The Roof; Hamilton; Chicago; Wicked plus many more.  Aberhonddu and Talgarth Male Voice Choirs will also be performing.

Free childen’s concert featuring music from films. Audience participation is required (clapping hands to the beat) and once the Band has finished playing there will be an opportunity to go on stage and try some of the Band’s instruments. Adults must be accompanied by a child! 

Black RAT Productions and Blackwood Miners’ Institute present. A new comedy by Richard Tunley. After binge-watching Who Do You Think You Are? Count Dracula becomes convinced he’s got royal blood—thanks to a dubious link between Vlad the Impaler and the Prince of Wales. So, he orders a flat-pack coffin off Temu, books himself an Airbnb, and sets off for the Black Forest… only to land in Blackwood in the South Wales Valleys!

Join us at The Muse, Brecon as we welcome author Gloria Blizzard for evening of readings and discussion of her book Black Cake, Turtle Soup, and Other Dilemmas, as she yours her book in the UK, as part of Black History Month celebrations. This event is supported by Griot Arts.

A new children's work, created in 2024 by multi award winning 2Faced Dance Company. Choreographed by Artistic Director Tamsin Fitzgerald, three male performers set the stage to tell the story of a lonely little boy and his new friend, FISH. 

A special night hosted by Brecon’s wonderful Folk and more Club … Cahalen Morrison Live. Originally hailing from the high desert of Northern New Mexico, Cahalen has been touring solo, as a duo with Eli West, and with his band Western Centuries over the past 15 years.

Following triumphant Met turns in Roméo et Juliette, La Traviata, and Lucia di Lammermoor, Nadine Sierra summits another peak of the soprano repertoire as Amina, who sleepwalks her way into audiences’ hearts in Bellini’s poignant tale of love lost and found. In his new production, Rolando Villazón—the tenor who has embarked on a brilliant second career as a director—retains the opera’s original setting in the Swiss Alps but uses its somnambulant plot to explore the emotional and psychological valleys of the mind.
