Jean Guyomarc'h is a Breton/French guitarist who has made several invited visits to Brecon to the Club & Festival to play. Jean is an esteemed musican in France where he performs in many concerts, clubs and festivals around Paris, Tours and regions. Jean was trained in musicianship and Jazz guitar at the Conservatoire in Tours, France, and performs both mainstream jazz and as part of a number of 'gypsy' jazz and hot club style ensembles. A talk by engineering historians Stephen K Jones and Stephen Rowson. This talk will cover the achievements of George Overton (1775 - 1827) - the early civil engineer and ironmaster who lived at Llandetty Hall near Talybont-on-Usk. Overton pioneered the use of tramroads for horse-drawn transport of materials in the Industrial Revolution when his expertise in civil engineering helped to shape transport infrastructure in south Wales. All welcome.

Welsh National Opera Orchestra will fill the air at Theatr Brycheiniog with wonderful waltzes, pulsing polkas, and all the classics you’d expect with WNO’s unmissable take on the traditional Viennese New Year concert.

The final gig of 2025 is our CHRISTMAS GATHERING and sees a return to the club for one of Britain’s finest roots blues artists in the shape of MARTIN HARLEY with SGA BRYONY SIER who also makes a much-deserved return.

BBC Radio Wales star Bronwen Lewis makes her return to the stage for a limited run of festive XMAS shows with ‘A Proper Welsh Christmas’. The Welsh singer-songwriter whose style sits between Country, Pop, Folk and Blues is proudly bilingual and received international acclaim during her time on The Voice, when she brought Tom Jones to tears. Coming to Theatr Brycheiniog this December.

The Christmassy take on our bi-annual market of vintage and pre-loved treasures! and refreshment available from the Tiny Booth cafe. Lots of stalls - something for everyone, men’s and women’s and children’s clothes, homewares, tools and crafts - find some special pre-loved outfits, and pressies for loved ones.

There will be Santa’s Grotto, a variety of stalls featuring handcrafted gifts, seasonal decorations, and delicious treats, all set within the stunning medieval architecture of the cathedral. Visitors can explore the fair while also listening (and joining in!) to musical performances, children's activities, and opportunities to enjoy warm refreshments, making it an ideal event for everyone.

The Christmas Orchestra is back! Get ready to discover the magic of the festive season with a unique concert experience. On 27th November the tour makes a special stop at Brecon Cathedral, bringing the festive spirit right to your doorstep. The concert is performed live by a 16 piece chamber orchestra supported with full sound production and lighting show.

Join Borders Ensemble (a flexible chamber group for clarinet, violin, cello and piano) as they explore musical myth, fable and magic with their programme of music inspired by childhood and fairytales. The concert will include pieces by Ravel, Janacek, Rebecca Clarke and Frank Bridge alongside some more contemporary works.

A Night To Remember: Motown Show takes you back in time to 1960’s Detroit. Be prepared for a high energy show, packed with the greatest Motown hits of all time. Starring The Voice UK finalist, Bizzi Dixon, and backed by the soulful vocal dynamics of The Motown Divas, this musical celebration is sure to have you singing along and dancing in the aisles and the streets.
