Found Gallery’s latest exhibition is titled 'Conversations in Porcelain and Paint' with ceramicist Corisande Albert and artist Elizabeth Haines. They explore abstract interpretations of coast in their respective mediums with the use of fluid movement, texture and overlapping colour. How a brushstroke in oil on canvass differs from oxide on a dolomite glaze offers up a rich vein of experimentation and collaboration for both potter and painter. From the soft curve of a pebble or seam of limestone to majestic landscapes, their work attempts to capture the natural beauty of the Welsh landscape.
In the lower gallery photographer Paul Edgley is showing black and white photography of trees which were photographed in the hills around the Upper Usk, not all, but many of them either were or are on the Penpont estate.
Artists Maggy Roberts and Marion Cheung are also exhibiting during this period.
