BRECON JAZZ CLUB - International Guest Series - Tues 20 January 2026 - 8pm at the Muse

JEAN GUYOMARC'H HOT CLUB TRIO - Jean Guyomarc'h is a Breton/French guitarist who has made several invited visits to Brecon to the Club & Festival to play. Jean is an esteemed musican in France where he performs in many concerts, clubs and festivals around Paris, Tours and regions. Jean was trained in musicianship and Jazz guitar at the Conservatoire in Tours, France, and performs both mainstream jazz and as part of a number of 'gypsy' jazz and hot club style ensembles. His playing is brilliant, whether interpreting emotional and sensitive numbers or on fiery and dazzling 'Django' and swing repertoire and soloing. Jean is joined for the BJC gig by a specially-invited trio of musicians from Wales for this unmissable event: 2nd guitarist Gareth Evans (who played at our screening of the film 'Django' last year at BJF) and acclaimed bassist Ashley-john Long. A night to remember. As part of this visit, we are also working with other jazz promoters and venues for Jean to play an additional number of small gigs around Wales, at Coaltrains in Barry, and Cardiff.
